GM Defense’s 新战术车辆是柴油增程型电动车

通用汽车旗下的子公司GM Defense推出了一款新的战术车辆原型,将全电动动力系统的静音特性与柴油发动机的低燃油消耗和高扭矩相结合。
这款被简称为“Next Gen”的四门皮卡基于雪佛兰Silverado 2500HD ZR2卡车,但结果却是非同寻常的。因为它是一款增程式电动汽车,就像即将推出的Ram 1500 Ramcharger一样。然而,与使用汽油V6发动机驱动电动发电机的Ramcharger不同,GM Defense的新战术车辆使用了经典的涡轮增压2.8升Duramax柴油发动机来延长电池组的续航里程。
说到电池组,下面照片中的这辆非常长、非常环保的皮卡配备了一个12个模块的电池组,将电力输送到前后两台电动机。我们不知道这款新原型车纯电动模式下的续航里程有多远,但凭借可以通过发电机驱动的柴油发动机这个选择,在世界任何地方,只要油箱里有燃料,这应该不是问题。
GM Defense表示,这种动力系统使Next Gen能够提供“静音驾驶”和“静默观察”功能。换句话说,作战人员可以在毫无噪音地驶入高威胁区域并监视敌人,而无需燃烧任何燃料。而且当柴油发动机刚启动时,使用热成像相机来探测这辆车也更困难。
由于配备了12个模块电池(可能使用了Ultium EV电池技术),这款战术皮卡可以向高能耗传感器等设备提供大量的电力输出。而且由于它是基于Silverado 2500HD公路版打造的,它还带有防翻滚保护、防抱死制动系统、电子稳定控制、四点和五点安全带以及360度摄像头视野。
